A 22-year-old Escondido man was listed in critical condition at Palomar Hospital on Saturday after he suffered major head injuries when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck, said a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol. Steven W. Miller was riding his motorcycle westbound on Mountain Meadow Road at a high speed at 9:45 a.m. when he hit the pickup, which was making a left turn at Mountain Meadow Road and Circle P. Street, the spokesman said. Miller was flown to the hospital by a Life Flight helicopter.
