Tecate

The unidentified skeletal remains of a man believed to be an illegal alien were discovered near the Tecate border Wednesday afternoon, Deputy Coroner Robert Engle said. The remnants were found in a secluded mountain area. Engle said the skeleton had been there for at least six months and that the cause of death is still under investigation. The bits of clothing found on the bones led authorities to believe that the man was from Mexico, Engle said.
