State Awards Funds for Housing Projects

Palos Verdes Housing Foundation has been awarded $192,000 under the state Department of Housing and Community Development urban predevelopment loan program. The funds will be used to help construct a $532,400-, 10-bedroom development for the handicapped in Harbor City.
In another grant, the department has awarded $165,000 to Self-Help Enterprises for site acquisition of a 50 to 60 unit low- and moderate income rural housing project in Kingsburg, Fresno County.
