Valley Actress Dies in Matterhorn Avalanche

Funeral arrangements were pending Wednesday for Woodland Hills actress Jacqueline Joy O’Brien, who was one of 11 people killed Saturday in an avalanche on a mountain in Switzerland.
Miss O’Brien, 31, was skiing with friends on the Matterhorn near Zermatt when the avalanche occurred.
Her father, Thomas J. O’Brien, said Wednesday that the family had not decided whether Miss O’Brien’s body would be buried in West Germany, where her sister lives, or flown to the United States for services in the San Fernando Valley.
