Log Home Guide Releases Biggest Annual Directory

In response to consumer demand for information on log homes, Log Home Guide magazine has just published a 280-page annual directory, its largest ever.
The $10 book, available on newsstands or through Log Home Guide, P.O. Box 1150, Plattsburgh, N.Y. 12901, contains an 80-page color feature section illustrating ways to help plan, build and finish a log house. The directory reviews more than 200 log home manufacturers, with both precut and handcrafted designs, in the United States, Canada and Scandinavia.
Other highlights of the directory include a report on caulking systems for preventing air and water infiltration; a look at energy-saving insulated log walls and columns and department on log home historic sites, log home news and technological breakthroughs.
