STANFORD — Walt Hazzard, who said he hoped his UCLA Bruins regained some confidence in Saturday night’s victory over Arizona State, will find out how much tonight, when they play the Stanford Cardinal at Maples Pavilion.
The teams had one prior meeting, won by UCLA, 100-71. Stanford, however, has upset victories this season over Arizona and USC. The Bruins have a 1-9 road record.
UCLA is 10-11, 7-5 in Pacific-10 conference play, which puts them fifth, 2 1/2 games behind first-place USC. Thursday, the Bruins will complete their tour of the Bay Area with a game at Cal.
