Gerry Adams, president of Sinn Fein, the legal political wing of the outlawed Irish Republican Army, has been invited by 10 congressmen to join protests against British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher during her visit to Washington this month. Adams is a member of Britain’s Parliament from Northern Ireland. The IRA has been waging a campaign to end British administration of the province and reunite it with the Republic of Ireland.
