A greater-alarm fire at a Hollywood apartment building forced the evacuation of more than 150 people but no injuries were reported and damage was limited to $20,000, city fire officials said. Eight companies of firefighters contained the blaze at 5165 Fountain Ave. to a single apartment on the third floor of the four-story building, said fire spokesman Patrick Killian. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
