McDonnell Douglas Corp. said the names of the operating companies in its information systems group, including Microdata, Tymshare and McAuto, will be changed “to make it obvious . . . the tradition and the entire resources of McDonnell Douglas stand behind it.” Irvine-based Microdata will be known as McDonnell Douglas Computer Systems Co.
