ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Olympic diving gold medalist Greg Louganis said Wednesday he may try to qualify for the 1988 Summer Games at Seoul, South Korea, depending on his performance at the World Championships in two years.
“If I do well at the World Championships, then I’ll continue. But if I prepare well and I don’t do well, then I’ll probably retire,” Louganis said during a brief promotional appearance here.
“But 1988 is not out of the question. It’s a definite possibility,” said Louganis, who will be 25 next week.
