Office Building to Be Rehabilitated
Hammerson Property (West U.S.A.) will be enabled to rehabilitate and expand an existing office building at 655 Hope St. under terms of a density variation approved by the Community Redevelopment Agency.
The building was designed for 18 stories but only 10 were built when the building was constructed in 1963. The Hammerson firm plans to rehabilitate the structure and construct eight additional stories at a cost of $21 million.
