Prep Basketball BOYS : Moorpark 50, St. Bonaventure 48

Moorpark High outscored visiting St. Bonaventure, 18-10, at the free-throw line and it was the difference in a 50-48 Tri-Valley League victory.

St. Bonaventure, which trailed, 24-17, at the half closed the gap to 49-48, with seven seconds remaining, but then called a time out when it had none left, which resulted in a technical foul.

That sent Moorpark’s Mike Patrick to the free throw line for a shot with two seconds left. Patrick, who led all scorers with 22 points, made the shot to ice the win.
