Explosion Damages Dutch Power Unit

MEDEMBLIK, Netherlands — A bomb severely damaged a power relay station near this northwestern Dutch town Thursday, but police said electrical supplies were not affected.
The 4 a.m. blast was caused by an explosive device thrown into the building through an air shaft from the roof, police spokesman Maarten de Leeuw said. The explosion wrecked part of the building’s interior, he said.
There was no claim of responsibility for the bombing.
