Baseball: Ty Moore is Gatorade state player of the year

UCLA-bound Ty Moore of Santa Ana Mater Dei has been selected the Gatorade state player of the year in baseball.
Moore was 12-1 on the mound this season with an 0.83 ERA. He also batted .412 with 23 RBIs and 10 steals in 10 attempts.
He had a 3.77 grade-point average. He becomes a finalist for the national player of the year award.
