Baseball: Extra innings for trip to Dodger Stadium

It only figured with two All-City pitchers on the mound, it would take more than seven innings to decide the City Section Division I semifinal game between El Camino Real and San Fernando.

Jose Cardona and David Lira have done what was asked of them, and after seven innings at USC, it’s a 1-1 tie.

That’s good news for Chatsworth, which has already earned a trip to Dodger Stadium. The more innings Cardona and Lira pitch, the more likely neither will be available for mound duty on Saturday.
