OK, somebody please give me a tap on the back of the head to bring me back to the reality of college recruiting and what a commitment means.
I always thought it says the recruiting is over and the college has been selected. But these kids today have a different definition.Take Woodland Hills Taft junior defensive tackle Antwaun Woods. He announced last week he had committed to USC a year ahead of signing a letter of intent.
But in a story by USCFootball.com, Woods says he’s going to take lots of recruiting visits to other schools, such as Florida, so he can see the country. Say what?
That’s not a real commitment in my book.
