If you’re like me, you will attend the Los Alamitos-Orange Lutheran game on Friday. You will pay $5 for parking -- unless they’re charging more -- and watch Clark Evans give Orange Lutheran a dose of the same medicine the Lancers dished out last season through player-of-the-year Aaron Corp.
And while your watching Orange Lutheran’s defense give Evans and the Griffins their first major test of the season, you’ll wonder what’s going on in that other game pitting the Sunset League vs. the Trinity League: Edison at Mater Dei.
When you get home, you should be able to watch that game on Vootage.com. Even better, if you’ve recently had an appendicitis attack and can’t get out, you can stay home and watch your poster boy, Nick Crissman, try to dissect the Mater Dei defense in a live webcast.
The other Orange County game, available Saturday on Vootage, is Esperanza vs. Tesoro. It lacks the same magic, but the whole Vootage experience is kind of magic anyway for the prep football fan.
As mentioned elsewhere on Varsity Times Insider, there are several games available on Vootage this weekend. In addition to the Edison-Mater Dei live webcast, the game between Fresno Clovis West and Corona Centennial will also shown live on Friday.
