Mike Edwards, a former member of the British rock band Electric Light Orchestra, was killed when the vehicle he was driving collided with a huge hay bale that rolled down a steep hill, police in southwestern England said Monday. Edwards was 62.
Edwards played cello in Electric Light Orchestra between 1972 and 1975. Here is a video of Edwards performing with ELO and English musician Roy Wood in 1972.
Sgt. Steve Walker of the Devon and Cornwall Police said Edwards was driving a van Friday when it collided with a 1,300-pound hay bale that had rolled down a hill to the road.
